dear xx,

i thought this plant in my office is really hardy. it has been months since i first saw it and it is still evergreen and sturdy. i wonder what’s the actual name of Mr Plant.

i am so happy my BFF found a job over in London! such joys when she delivered the news to me. finally she can mail me a proper present. hahahahahaha! the sweetest news for me to date definitely.

i wonder what’s wrong with me. my moods have been on a pendulum swing and it’s either listless and irritable or exuberant on a high note. it couldn’t be the hormonal triggers. haha! goodness. it’s hard to live with another me. kekekkeke.

i went for Singapore International Photography Festival tea session today. it was great since i met my secondary schoolmate. such a coincidence! it’s always good to reconnect with people from the past. i think this festival is getting interesting and i am hoping to meet more like-minded people around. so funny when the festival director asked who i admire most, i could think of no names other than stefen chow. kekeke! reason purely because i went for his talk last night so by some spatial proximity and timing relations, i could only spell his name… but i do admire the tenacity put in for his passion and his works of course. the festival director laughed! because they were personal friends. people were mentioning names like ghandi, bill gates, leonardo da vinci… no idea why but i find it hard to say names who are familiar only in textbooks. they definitely made changes to the world but somehow to speak of who i admire, i need someone close to life.

i was thinking just how hard it is to be with someone with no clear vision of a future together. no wonder my brother often tells me it’s easier to know what you want out of your life, but it’s not easy at all to find someone who shares the same direction and walks with you. it’s true. such bloopies.

i can’t wait for the tomorrows to come. and i need to use up the 4 skateline vouchers. kekeke.

it’s a strange feeling - i could either lament the loss of youth or look forward my next decade with more confidence. indeed the 20s had some heydays of ebullient youth, fun and laughter. but they also meant loads of awkward uncertainty, self searching, expired teenage angst and forlorn loves.

how does one find his/her footing in this world? the answer is, i believe, experiences (and inevitably comes with age) help. they say a 30 year old lady is more confident of what she wants. i can jolly tell you it’s bullshit. it’s an amalgamation of life experiences that one learns from which eventually enable her to make informed choices. it doesn’t matter if one is 31 or 29. haha.

i won’t say i am more sure of myself when the clock hit 12 just. but i think i know what i do not want. and i am slowly working towards building a life i eventually would want.

all i know is i do not want my next decade to be wasted away like how i did with some of my 20s years. it’s not all just about days walking past. it’s about how each day adds value to your eventual goal.

i am blessed with a bunch of awesome friends, family and 2 rabbits.
